The Drusberg nature conservation area is located in Zurich Witikon and is a valuable natural oasis and protected habitat for numerous animals and plants.
This year we have a special project on our agenda: the renovation of a pond that provides a home for many frogs, toads, newts and dragonflies.
The existing pond has a defect and in order to preserve the habitat, the pond liner needs to be replaced. This requires a lot of muscle power as gravel and mud have to be moved. The work is planned for October or November to ensure that the animals find a new place to overwinter in time.
Through the pond we are not only creating an important habitat, but also offering an opportunity to experience the fascinating world of amphibians and insects up close.
Every helping hand counts and contributes to securing the future of the Drusberg nature conservation area and preserving biodiversity in the region.
