Idyll and biodiversity: The village of Campo Blenio and its surroundings

For a week we work together in the Blenio nature reserve in beautiful Ticino and experience nature in all its facets. The idyllic village of Campo Blenio lies in the middle of green pastures and forests, hidden behind the steep slopes of Sosto. The missions take place in the old larch forests of the valley and are supervised on site by the forestry workers. But our groups also go on missions in the floodplain forests and wetlands. But Campo Blenio also offers much more, such as hiking opportunities or brief encounters with the friendly locals.

Outdoor education: learning through experience

During the work, the students experience nature with all their senses and can forget everyday life for a week. The work often requires teamwork and the inventiveness of the students. In this way, they learn about their own limits and possibilities and grow closer together as a class. With selected and situation-adapted environmental education inputs, the connections of the surrounding nature are shown and can be experienced first hand.

Experiencing sustainability: promoting ecosystem understanding

Working in nature promotes and deepens the understanding of our sensitive ecosystems and the creatures that live in them. With all these ingredients, the students experience an unforgettable week that they will tell their children about.
